Ink Genie® was founded in 2014 under another name and vision by Amy and Alex, a mother and son team. At that time, we purchased various truckloads of office supplies.  We would sift through the miscellaneous items to find savings opportunities for our customers to operate their business and home offices. The product selection was vast, however, it quickly became obvious that the best savings opportunities for our customers were with ink and toner.

Over the last 6+ years, we have grown our knowledge of the ink and toner market while selling on Amazon & building our vast network of suppliers. We also found that there is an opportunity to find products that are brand new and unused but may have a damaged box, an open box, or no packaging at all (Perfect Imperfection). This allows us to provide even greater savings for our valued customers!

This was truly the birth of Ink Genie® … Your Wish Our Command … continually granting our customers’ wishes to save on the ink and toner they need!

Today, Ink Genie® is one of the leading ink and toner suppliers to businesses, government institutions, schools, and homes in the country and growing every day. We have thousands of customers that we consider part of our family and always offer to them our best in Service, Satisfaction, and Savings!

Alex has always been interested in business. Like most young entrepreneurs, his first endeavors were lemonade stands on his cul-de-sac. On hot days, he would ring neighbors’ doors to see if they were thirsty and would like to buy some. He quickly realized that a cul-de-sac was not a great place to satisfy a lot of customers.

Alex grew his customer base by taking his efforts to the internet. He decided to sell various items online that he found around the house because he no longer needed them, but others did. Once he got his driver’s license, he ventured out to garage and estate sales to find products that people no longer needed and sold them online because, as they say, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. This approach only lasted for a short while because, in no time, he found his first office supply truckload and then narrowed his focus to ink/toner and the rest is history. From there Ink Genie® was born.

Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with a dual degree in Finance and Real Estate. He worked throughout college building his business, while at the same time had great internship experiences at both BlackRock, a New York City-based Asset Manager with $6 Trillion under management, as well as RiverWest Partners, a Columbus, Ohio based Real Estate Private Equity firm. Upon graduation, Alex received multiple job offers, but he knew his passion was to help his current and future customers save money on ink and toner. He could not think of a better partner than his mom and the two work together daily, along with the rest of their team, to satisfy their customers' needs.

Learn More About Amy

Amy is a graduate of Lehigh University with a BS in Finance. After college, she worked at Bankers Trust Company in their Retirement Services Group (RSG), managing corporate retirement savings plans. The department was sold to MetLife Insurance Company during Amy’s tenure. It was with the RSG that she developed expertise in Customer Service. Her ability to satisfy customers’ needs was the basis for her growth within the organization, starting as a management intern and, ultimately, growing into the position of Director, Client Services.

The customer service skills that she developed in her successful career in corporate America are exactly what makes Ink Genie® so special. At the heart of every Ink Genie® customer interaction and transaction is our customer service focus. We are not satisfied unless our customer has a 5-Star experience!
